During the tsunami in March 2011, Iwate Prefecture in Japan suffered a reported US$97.5 million in damages to fishing vessels and harbor facilities. Rotary clubs in Japan hosted a sushi dinner in the prefecture to demonstrate that today, the country’s fishing industry isn’t floundering.
